Brief: study a simple, low-cost clock radio, then redesign it to improve the interaction

The clock radio was first studied by conducting a cognitive walkthough. Then it was analysed according to Jakob Neilsen's ten usability heuristics.

The redesign sought to make setting the clock easier. Modes would be indicated by a change in the colour of the display.

The new design was tested using paper prototypes. Users were asked to think aloud, and their actions and reactions were studied.
