After experiencing both the writing and editing processes firsthand, I researched existing writing software practices. Inspired by text editors designed specifically for dealing with large amounts of code, I incorporated features such as syntax highlighting and collapsing paragraphs into a rough prototype built in PowerPoint. After user testing, I refined my design into a detailed Illustrator mock-up.
